발달장애인의 미래계획 수립 수준에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구

초록

연구문제 또는 목적: 본 연구는 발달장애인의 미래계획 수립 수준에 영향을 주는 요인을 파악함으로써 발달장애인의 미래계획 수립 수준을 높일 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 연구방법: 한국장애인고용공단 고용개발원의 ‘2021년 발달장애인의 일과 삶 실태조사’를 활용하여 2차 자료 분석을 실시하였으며, 전체 응답자 중 주 보호자가 부모이고, 발달장애인 당사자의 연령이 만 20세 이상인 경우에 해당하는 1,919명의 응답을 분석하였다. 연구결과: 발달장애인의 연령, 장애유형, 자립의지, 의사결정 주체, 부모의 전반적 삶 만족도, 부모의 건강상태, 월평균 가구 소득, 교육프로그램 참여 경험, 사회참여경험이 발달장애인의 미래계획 수립 수준에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 또는 시사점: 연구결과를 토대로 조기에 발달장애인의 미래계획 수립이 이루어질 수 있도록 지원하는 공식적인 체계가 필요하며 발달장애인의 당사자에 대한 지원은 물론 사회참여 지원 및 부모를 위한 지원이 함께 이루어져야 함을 제언하였다.

Abstract

Objectives: This study aims to identify factors influencing future planning among individuals with developmental disabilities and explore ways to enhance their future planning. Method: Secondary data analysis was conducted using the “2021 Survey on the Work and Life of Individuals with Developmental Disabilities” by the Korea Employment Development Institute. The analysis focused on 1,919 responses from individuals with developmental disabilities aged 20 years or older and whose primary caregiver was a parent. Results: Results showed that factors such as age, type of disability, autonomy, decision-making capacity, parental life satisfaction, parental health status, household income, participation in educational programs, and experiences of social participation influenced future planning. Conclusion: Based on the research findings, it is suggested to establish a formal system that supports early future planning for individuals with developmental disabilities and provides support for both their social participation and their parents.
