Abstract

The purpose of this study is to expand the application field of the Old Testament to actual pastoral site and the life of the congregation, especially to research the theological evidence and the possibility of its application, which can be applied by expanding the individual lament into the field of pastoral counseling and treatment. To this end, this paper was largely divided into three sections. First, we identified the concepts and characteristics of poetry therapy and based on this, we studied the characteristics of 'psalm therapy' which are distinguished from poetry therapy, along with the possibility of psalms as the data of poetry therapy. Through this, we looked at the possibility of poetry therapy being applied as a psalm therapy. Psalm therapy is to become a individual lament's prayer by projecting itself into an existing petition and to write a petition to God. This will allow the Psalmist to present himself to God without a doubt, seek his grace, meet him and experience a process of recovery. Second, we looked at the characteristics of individual lament as data for the purpose of the psalm therapy, seeking the figure of God in the inner part of the saint in pain and restoring self-esteem. Third, the two studies above were put together to examine how individual lament should be used as data for poetry therapy. In particular, 13 poems were studied here as an example of the method and application of psalm therapy. We also studied the practical clinical stages of psalm therapy and looked at how the psalm should actually be used in the churchyard. I have come to the conclusion that the individual lament is suitable as a material for poetry therapy. Psalms are also very important material for the psychotherapy of Christians. Psalm therapy, not poetry therapy, allows us to seek God at the same time that we find ourselves. Thus, the psalm therapy will allow Christians to find his inner self through the coupons and restore their self-esteem when they lose their self-esteem as children of God due to their own difficult situations or suffering from others. This paper will be an example of how the field of Old Pharmacology can influence into a more practical field. They will also be able to demonstrate the possibility of interpreting new old medicines and the possibility of academic convergence and application among the theological divisions.
