오늘날 우리사회에서 공원 및 광장은 오픈스페이스로서 중요한 도시구성요소로 작용 하고 있으며, 대표적 도시계획시설로서 도시공원과 광장의 설계는 다양한 전략적 접근이 이루어왔을 것으로 예상된다. 특히 본 연구에서 다루고자 하는 장소적 재현 의의는 시대에 따라 다양한 가치를 담아가며 발전해 왔을 것으로 가정하고 연구를 시작하였다. 특히 우리사회의 발달과정을 정치‧경제‧사회적 의의를 바탕으로 구체화하여 공원 및 광장 등 도시계획 시설의 장소재현 양상을 살펴보았으며, 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 국내 도시공원 및 광장의 초기 장소재현 개념의 전략은 집권정치세력에 의한 영향이 강하게 작용하였으며, 1970년대에서 1990년대 까지 점차적으로 계획가의 참여를 통한 설계안이 반영되어 나타나며, 서구의 공원계획 등을 학습한 설계가의 다양한 아이디어가 반영되기 시작하였다. 특히 2000년대 들어서 이와 같은 양상은 다양성을 더하게 되었으며, 본 연구에서 살펴본 마곡중앙공원 및 마곡중앙광장의 사례에서 살펴보았듯이 이후 광장 및 도시공원 계획은 변화하는 사회상을 담는 등 다양한 가능성을 시도하며 장소재현의 개념에 있어 복합화되는 양상으로 발전하는 특징을 확인할 수 있다.
Abstract
These days, parks and plazas of our society is an important component of cities as open space, and designing urban parks and plazas as representative urban planning facilities is likely to have been approached in various ways. Especially, this study started with the assumption that the significance of reproducing places has evolved by having various values depending on different time periods. Especially, this study specified the developing process of our society on the ground of political‧economical‧social significance, and examined the aspects of reproducing urban planning facilities such as parks and plazas. The result of the study is as follows. The strategy in the concept of reproducing urban parks and plazas in Korea in the early days was greatly influenced by those in power. From the 1970s to 1990s, designs gradually reflect the participation of planners and they reflect various ideas of the planners who studied the plans of the western parks. Especially in 2000s, such aspects started to have more diversity, and as was seen in this study with the cases of Magok Central Park and Magok Central Plaza, plans for plazas and urban parks tried various possibilities such as reflecting the changing aspects of society, and developed in the direction toward complexation in the concept of reproducing places.
