본 연구의 목적은 과거 노후준비가 노인의 우울을 예측하는 경로과정에서, 사회적 지지와 자아통합감의 매개효과를 검증하는 것에 있다. 이에 본 연구는 서울복지재단의 서울시 복지패널 2차년도(2010년) 데이터에서 65세 이상의 노인 약 1,429명을 조사대상자로 선별하였다. 분석방법은 AMOS 18.0의 구조방정식 모형을 적용하였으며, sobel test 방식을 응용하여 매개효과의 유의수준을 판별하였다. 이러한 연구방법을 통하여 검증된 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 과거 노후준비가 노인의 우울을 설명하는 직접경로의 효과성이 입증되었다. 둘째, 과거 노후준비가 사회적 지지를 경유하여 노인이 우울을 예측하는 매개경로의 효과성이 입증되었다. 셋째, 과거 노후준비가 자아통합감을 경유하여, 최종적으로 노인의 우울을 예측하는 매개경로의 효과성이 검증되었다. 넷째, 본 연구에서 설정한 경로중에서 과거 노후준비가 우울에 미치는 적접경로가 가장 우월한 수준에서 노인의 우울을 예측하고 있음이 검증되었다. 제시된 분석결과를 기반으로, 본 연구는 노인의 우울에 대한 대응방안과 후속 연구를 위한 제안점을 제공하였다.
Abstract
This study’s aim was to validate the mediation effects of the social support and ego-integrity included in the path which the preparation for old aged of the past had effect on the depression of the elderly. For verifying this aim, this study used a data set of 1,429 cases included over 65 years old belonging to 2nd Wave of Seoul Welfare Pannel Data. This study applied a Structural Equation Modeling of AMOS 18.0 as a analysis method and sobel test for proving the significant of the mediating effect. The major analysis results were as below. Firstly, this study proved the significant of the direct path that the preparation for old aged of the past had effect on the depression of the elderly. Secondly, this study validated the mediating effect of the social support. Thirdly, this study proved the mediating effect of the ego-integrity. Forth, Among the paths that this study suggested, the path explaining the depression of the elderly at the most dominant level was the direct path that the preparation for old aged of the past directly predicted the depression of the elderly. Based on the analysis results presented, this study discussed the intervention plan for the depression of the elderly and the suggestion for a follow-up study.
