부모양육행동과 청소년의 자아탄력성 : 성별 조절효과를 중심으로

본 연구는 청소년이 지각한 부모양육행동과 자아탄력성과의 관계가 성별에 따라 차이가 있는지를 밝히기 위해 진행되었다. 분석자료는 한국아동․청소년패널조사(Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey, KCYPS) 자료 중 중학교 1학년 패널 4차년도 자료(고등학교 1학년생 2,108명)를 사용하였다. 통계분석방법은 기술통계와 위계적 회귀분석이며 SPSS ver. 22를 이용하여 분석하였다. 위계적 회귀분석 결과 부학력, 모학력, 경제수준, 성별을 모두 통제한 후에도 부모감독, 부모애정, 합리적 설명, 방임 등 4가지 양육행동은 청소년의 자아탄력성과 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 성별과 양육행동 간의 상호작용효과를 분석한 결과 부모애정과 자아탄력성 간의 관계는 여학생들에게서 더 크게 나타난 반면, 합리적 설명과 자아탄력성 간의 관계는 남학생에게서 더 크게 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 여학생들에게는 부모애정이 자아탄력성의 증진에 도움이 되고, 남학생에게는 합리적 설명이 자아탄력성의 증진에 도움이 됨을 보여주는 것이다. 이를 바탕으로 청소년의 자아탄력성을 높이기 위해서 성별에 따라 부모양육행동이 달라져야 함을 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the relations between parenting behaviors and adolescents' ego resilience are different by gender. A total of 2,108 high school students(male 1,075, female 1,033) were selected from the fourth data sets of the Korea Child and Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS). Descriptive Statistics and Hierarchical multiple regression were conducted using SPSS/WIN 22. For parenting behaviors, monitoring, affection, reasoning, and neglect were measured. The results were as follows. First, monitoring, affection, reasoning, and neglect were related to adolescents' ego resilience after controlling for parent's education level, family income and gender. Second, affection had bigger impact on female's ego resilience than male's after controlling for parent's education level and family income. Third, reasoning had bigger impact on male's ego resilience than female's after controlling for parent's education level and family income. Based on these results, several suggestions were made to improve parenting behaviors and adolescents' ego resilience by gender.
