본 연구는 SBM과 Super SBM모형에 의하여 경기지역 신용협동조합을 대상으로 하여 효율성과 규모의 경제를 분석하였다. 영업비용과 유형자산을 투입물로 하고, 대출금과 예수금을 산출물로 하여 효율성을 측정한 결과에 의하면 18개 조합이 효율적이며, 평균 기술효율성은 0.6123 평균 순수기술효율성은 0.7068, 평균 규모효율성은 0.8859로 나타났다. 최적규모인 CRS에 있는 조합은 8개, IRS에 있는 조합은 36개, DRS에 있는 조합은 31개이며, IRS에 있는 조합들은 효율적이 되기 위해서 현재의 산출물을 유지하면서 투입물을 축소하는 전략과 추가적인 산출물을 얻기 위하여 투입물을 추가로 투입하는 전략과의 상충효과를 고려해서 하나를 선택해야 할 것이다. 또한 IRS에 있는 조합 간에 합병에 의한 규모의 확대도 검토해야 할 것이다. 효율적 조합이 되기 위해서는 DRS에 있는 조합들은 투입물을 축소해야 하지만 현실적으로 어려움이 따르기 때문에 필요한 경우에는 IRS인 조합과의 합병이 대안이 될 수 있음을 제시하였으며, 본 연구의 결과에 대한 강건성을 검증하였다.
Abstract
This study is to examine the efficiency of credit unions in Kyung Ki Do by Slack Based Measure. Operating expense and fixed assets are used as inputs, and two outputs used are loans and deposits. The results show that 8 out of 75 DMUs are technically efficient with average of 0.6123. In addition, 36 DMUs show IRS, and 31 show DRS. All inefficient DMUs should reduce the inputs or increase the outputs, but it is difficult to reduce the inputs in reality. The DMUs in IRS should increase the outputs by increasing the inputs rather than reducing the inputs, and The DMUs in DRS are recommended to merge with the DMUs in IRS. In addition, stability tests of the frontier were performed.
