Abstract
To increase the explanation capability on attitude or intention to use of TAM model, many scholars have expanded the original TAM model using many antecedent variables. Due to adding many antecedent variables, the complexity of research model has been increased and some of many antecedent variables have been rejected from related research models. The purpose of this study is to show an idea using previously calculated R²-value to decrease the complexity of research model and increase the explanation capability before using the TAM model in the field of e-business. Five antecedent variables such as trust, playfulness, compatibility, self efficiency and risk have been chosen to show this idea empirically. Before building each research model, R²-value of each antecedent variable has been calculated first, and then several research models based on calculated R²-values have been built. Four research models have been built to reveal this suggestion empirically. R²-value of research model 2 accounted for 33% of the variance in intention to use, while R²-value of research model 3 showed 52% only.
