Abstract

Recently, domestic supply of housing was mainly focused on apartment housing in Korea. The study for apartment housing outdoor space for the elderly are poor than apartment indoor space. And the majority of senior is expected to stay in the apartment that they have been lived. Therefore the purpose of this paper is to propose the design reference for the aged waking movement environment. Based on analysis of the senior outdoor space environment through a comparative analysis of frame of analysis with survey data of outdoor space environments in an improvement method is proposed like bellow down. First, senior centers and commercial facilities should be placed in the center of the housing site or placed at the opposite edge. Second, the facilities' building should be changed the colors for contrasting colors with any other housing building. Third, trail should be designed circulation and S-type. Fourth, the bench should be changed to arm chair type for the safety. Fifth, the street lighting for the elderly resting should be changed to low height lighting type for senior walking safety.
