섬유선종은 음문에서 드문 병소이다. 섬유선종의 기원에 대하여 딴곳 유방조직 또는 젖샘모양 샘으로부터 발생하는 것으로 제안되고 있다. 본 저자들은 임상적으로 음문 낭종 의진하에 절제술을 시행 후 섬유선종으로 진단된 1 증례를 경험하였기에 간략한 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.
Abstract
Fibroadenoma is a rare lesion of the vulva. It has been proposed that the origin of the tissue is either ectopic breast tissue or vulvar mammary-like glands (MLG). We report a case of vulvar fibroadenoma in a 33-year-old woman with a right vulvar mass presenting clinically as vulvar cyst. The cut surface of the tumor showed a white and homogenous appearance that was 2.5 cm in maximum dimension. Microscopically, the lesion was well-circumscribed but non-encapsulated. It revealed nodular, glandular & stromal proliferation, consistent with fibroadenoma of breast. Immunohistochemical staining for the estrogen receptor and progesteron receptor revealed nuclear positivity in the epithelium. Smooth muscle actin confirmed the presence of a myoepithelial cell layer. Staining for pancytokeratin showed epithelial cytoplasmic positivity.
