일상생활에서 사람들이 만들어 내는 통행은 시·공간적으로 분산되어 발생하는 일상적 활동 참여의 필요를 충족시키는 과정에서 부수적으로 생겨나는 파생수요이다. 따라서 통행특성을 보다 정확하게 파악하기 위해서는 통행을 통해 참여하고자 하는 활동들을 대상으로 활동참여 패턴을 분석하는 접근법이 유용하다. 본 연구에서는 가정을 기반으로 집에서 출발하여 다시 집으로 귀가하기까지의 활동묶음을 하나의 분석단위로 하는 투어기반 분석을 수행하였다. 분석결과 개인은 자신이 속해 있는 사회경제 특성에 따라 평일 하루 동안 활동투어를 생성하는 행태의 차이를 보이고 있었다. 특히, 최근 우리나라에서 급격한 증가 경향을 보이고 있는 고령자와 1인가구는 동일한 외부활동횟수를 수행할 때 가정을 중심으로 귀가와 외출을 반복하는 빈도가 상대적으로 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 여성은 직장활동에 참여하여 가정기반 투어빈도를 낮추고 직장투어에서 중간 스톱을 늘리고 있는 반면, 가구주인 남성은 비맞벌이인 경우에 비해 맞벌이인 경우 투어발생이 다소 증가하여 가구유지활동 분담의 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The activity-based approach to travel demand analysis has been motivated by the recognition that individual trips are derived from the desire to pursue activities distributed in time and space during daily life. Thus, in order to clearly understand the characteristics of travel, it is useful to examine the activity participation patterns from which the travel derives. This study conducts a tour based analysis to investigate the activity participation behavior from leaving home until returning to home. The study results indicate individuals show different behaviors in generating activity tours according to their socio-economic characteristics. Especially, aged population and one-person households tend to increase home-based tour frequency, which enables us to expect them to increase trip rates under the same number of out-of-home activities. Married career women try to decrease home-based tour frequency with high intermediate-stops during work tour, whereas husbands in dual income households tend to increase home-based tour frequency, implying the tendency of sharing household maintenance activity.
