영화 <수상한 그녀>의 이동과 변용 양상 연구 - 일본판 <수상한 그녀>를 중심으로 -

Development of means of transport, such as train, automobile and airplane, and mobile communications has accelerated mobility of texts like novels and movies, resulting in frequent cultural contacts. One of several phenomena created by such contacts is an adaptation, the most active way of acculturation and localization in which a culture is adapted to another culture. Adapted texts cross national and cultural boundaries in various forms and reflect the culture of a destination. This study paid attention to the fact that mobility is an important element in the adaptation of texts and examined how adapted texts reflect local culture, focusing on texts that moved from one country to another. The movie entitled Miss Granny, discussed in this study, was produced and adapted in a total of 8 languages including Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Thai, Indonesian, English and Spanish. Considering that the adaptation is a phenomenon caused by mobility of texts, this study discussed a theory of adaptation suggested by Linda Hutcheon and examined the Japanese version of Miss Granny as an adapted movie.
