무라카미 하루키(村上春樹)의「논병아리(かいつぶり)」考察 -기억과 이면세계(裏面世界)를 중심으로-

「かいつぶり」は1981年、村上春樹の書いた8番目の短編小説であり、短編 集『カンガルー日和』(1983)に収録されている作品である。 「かいつぶり」は村上の短編の中でもやや短い方だが、現実とその裏面と いう独自の「パラレル·ワールド」の原型を表している。このような作品の構 造はその後発表された「図書館奇談」(1982)、『世界の終りとハードボイル ド·ワンダーランド』(1985)、そして『海辺のカフカ』(2002)、『1Q84』(2009)に至るまで一貫して保たれている。 本稿は「記憶」と「裏面世界」という２つのキーワードを通してこの「か いつぶり」という物語の構造について考察する。つまり、裏面世界の形成や 裏面世界への移行に「記憶」はどのような働きを担当しているのか、という 問題について考える。そのため、上述した「発表時期上その前後に位置する 作品群」-自称「志のある失敗作」である-「街と、その不確かな壁」や『世界 の終りとハードボイルド·ワンダーランド』、「ふしぎな図書館」などを視野 に入れながら論ずることとする。
Abstract
<Dapchick> is the 8th of short stories written by Haruki Murakami, and has been collected in <Kangaroo Biyori> (1983). This study aims to analyze the structure of the story that <Dapchick> by using two key words "the other side of the world'" and "memory". <Dapchick>'s splitted story has parallel narratives like many other Haruki novels, like <Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World>, <The City, and its uncertain wall>, <The strange Library>, <Kafka on the Shore> etc. And most of his novels have themes about "Memory" and "Pararelle world"(I prefer 'The Other side of the world') and this line of novels which a dream-like fantasy that took the magical elements of his work to a new extreme. This paper's final goal is reconsider literary value of <Dapchick> because Murakami achieved a major breakthrough with this very short story.
