The purposes of this study is to review child․family policies and the current trends of child․family supporting services in Korea and Japan. The study reaches a conclusion that the following recommendations appeared to be essential in order to make the Korean government organization provide more effective and professional child․family policies and community- based supporting services. In effectively promoting child․family measures, it is necessary to accurately grasp the present state of child․family and to locate where the problems lie. For the effective child․family policies and community-based support services, the provincial administrative organizations need to establish a new system. Government should reevaluate child․family Act and legislated for child․family supporting system and development, supporting the security of appropriate finance and human resources. Moreover, government should reform the child․family service processing and supporting service system.
Abstract
