예술 체험과정에 드러난 교육학적 담화

체험은 스스로 발견하고 깨닫는 경험이 일어나도록 하는 과정이다. 교육이 경험을 통해 삶의 변화를 추구한다면 체험은 경험을 실질화하여 교육으로 승화시킬 수 있는 중요한 도구이다. 따라서 체험교육은 장기적으로 삶의 전반에 미칠 영향을 넓게 고려하여 교육의 내용과 지원을 밀도 있게 행하는 교육이라고 할 수 있다. 체험을 통해 우리가 무엇인가 눈에 보이는 변화를 감지하기는 쉽지 않다. 그러나 예술은 예술적 공간 그리고 그 소통의 시간 속에서 사람들은 자신들이 이전에 경험했던 자신의 모든 이야기들을 예술이 함축하고 있는 의미와 이야기들과 함께 엮어서 지각하고 이해하고 느낀다. 이는 지식으로, 논리로, 과학으로 설명할 수 없는 복잡한 과정으로 몸과 마음, 개인과 그를 둘러싼 환경, 제도, 사회, 문화 등이 모두 연결되어있는 하나의 상호작용으로 일어나는 학습이다. 이 연구는 대학에서 비전공자에게 예술을 가르치는 교육자의 한 사람으로서 예술을 체험과정에서 드러난 다양한 내러티브들을 분석하여 교육학적 시사점을 도출한다. 이 연구를 통해 예술 체험은 예술가이든 일반인이든 이를 교육적 실천으로 사용하는 교육자이든 학습자이든 우리는 모두 예술을 공유하고 체험하는 과정 속에서 보이지 않는 세상에서 깨어날 수 있으며 이는 교육의 궁극적 목표임을 알 수 있다. 예술 체험은 이미 만들어진 자신을 용기 있게 드러내는 것만이 아니라 타자와 깊이 만나고 그로 인해 반성적 사고를 하는 교육적 주체되기의 과정임을 시사한다.
Abstract
This study presents the narratives revealed on the processes of artistic activities by artists, art educators and students who are not studying at arts subjects. The narratives are analysed by pedagogical theories of arts experience. It is not easy to discover the educational achievements on the processes of artistic experiences, but the narratives implicates that all learners perceive, understand, aware and share their stories represented by the artistic experiences. On the processes, whoever are artists, educators or learners, they can perceive and response to all social positions and the complexity surrounding the personal, cultural and institutional contexts. As a result of this, they can awake from their darkness of life. It can be a process of becoming an educational subject that can respect his/her own stories and the others.
