Abstract

There are common features on right-hemisphere-damaged and dementia. Those are showed subject cohesion, conversation depart from main concept, misunderstanding main concept, and etc. The purpose of this study is find conversation specification of right-hemisphere- damaged and Alzheimer’s disease use analyze method of main concept, literal concept, and interpretive concept(Nicholas & Brookshire, 1995). The subjects of this study is each 5 persons in right-hemisphere- damaged, Alzheimer’s disease, and normal group. And gathered conversation samples use‘cookie theft’pictures. Conversation samples were analyzed with main concept, literal concept, and interpretive concept. The results of this study were as follows; First, the result of main concept analyze, Alzheimer’s disease group acquired high score on AB factor which is not show main concept, and showed low performance on conversation. Second, the result of analyze with literal concept and interpretive concept, the average on right-hemisphere-damaged and normal group is similar, and Alzheimer’s disease group showed very low score. To infer from these results, method of main concept analyze will be more proper tools to explain conversation specifications on Alzheimer’s disease and right-hemisphere-damaged.
