일반 중학교 특수교육 대상 학생의 실행기능 특성 - 학습장애 및 경도정신지체를 중심으로 -

본 연구에서는 학습장애와 경도정신지체로 구성된 특수교육 대상 학생 집단의 실행기능이 일반학생으로 구성된 일반학생 집단의 실행기능과 어떤 차이가 있으며 그 특성은 무엇인지를 알아보았다. 연구 대상은 특수교육 대상 학생 집단 22명과 일반학생 집단 10명, 총 32명을 표집하여 이들 학생들을 대상으로 표준화된 ‘아동용 Kims 전두엽-관리기능 신경심리검사’를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 특수교육 대상 학생 집단, 즉 학습장애와 경도정신지체 학생들의 실행기능은 정상적 범주에 속하지 않았으며 일반 학생들의 평균에 비해 유의하게 낮았다. 둘째, 실행기능의 하위기능 중에서 선택적 주의력, 언어능력, 비언어적능력에서는 특수교육 대상 학생 집단이 일반학생 집단에 비해 낮았지만 기억력과 전략 활용능력에서는 특수교육 대상 학생 집단과 일반 학생 집단 간에 차이가 없었다. 마지막으로 특수교육 대상 학생 집단을 특수교육 대상 학생의 유형에 따라 그룹별로 나누어 일반학생들과 비교했을 때, 학습장애 학생은 기억력에서는 일반학생과 차이가 없었지만 경도정신지체 학생들은 일반학생과 기억력에서 차이가 있었다. 본 연구에서는 실행기능의 정의와 중요성을 논의하였고 앞으로 학습장애와 경도정신지체 학생들의 실행기능을 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램의 개발 필요성에 대해서도 논의하였다.
Abstract
In this study, we compared the nature of executive function between general groups who are normal students and special groups who are learning disabilities and mental retarded students in general middle schools in Seoul. To examine the nature of executive function, we sampled 34 middle school students and then separated them into 2 groups which consist of special groups and general groups. In addition, we again divided them into 3 groups which consist of mild mental retarded, learning disabilities, and general students. And researchers implemented the neuropsychic test of Kim’s the frontal lobe-executive function for children. After that, we analyzed the EIQ(Executive IQ) and the sub-tests such as stroop test, word fluency test, design fluency test and auditory verbal learning test. In conclusions, first of all, we found that there were difference between mild- mental retarded, learning disabilities and normal students in EIQ. Secondly, the results demonstrated that mild mental retarded and learning disabilities were not different from normal students in AVL-test, but are different in stroop test, word fluency test and design fluency test. Therefore, we suggest that the study of executive function in mild mental retarded and learning disabilities are needed to further study in Korea.
