(The Timed Up and Go Test), BBS검사(Berg Balance Scale)를 실시하였고, 보행 능력에 미치는 영향을 비교하기 위해 실내와 실외 환경에서 10m walk test, FSST(Four Square Step Test)를 실시하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of elastic ankle-foot orthosis on balance and gait for the patients with stroke. The 17 patients with clinically diagnosed stroke were recruited. Balance tests (Physiofeedback MTD-Balance Measurement(MTD)), The Timed Up and Go Test (TUG), Berg Balance Scale Test(BBS) and Gait tests (10m walk test, Four Square Step Test(FSST)) were assessed to compare the effects of elastic ankle-foot orthosis on balance and gait. Statistically a significant difference was observed only for BBS test(p<.05). There were no statistically significant differences in the MTD measurement and TUG test. Also statistically significant differences were observed in 10m walk test(p<.05) in the outdoor measurement and FSST test(p<.05) in both the indoor and the outdoor measurements. The elastic ankle-foot orthosis appears to have some impact on functional balance and walking ability for the patients with stroke.
