발달장애아동 어머니의 생활시간제약에 미치는 영향요인 분석

초록

본 연구는 발달장애아동 어머니의 시간관리를 방해하는 생활시간제약 요인을 분석하여 시간자원을 효율적으로 사용할 수 있도록 하는 가족지원 프로그램 개발에 중요한 기초 자료를 제공하는 것이다. 이러한 목적에 따라, 발달장애아동 어머니의 생활시간제약에 영향을 미치는 요인을 발달장애아동 어머니의 주중과 주말의 생활시간 분석, 가족특성, 발달장애아동 어머니들의 양육스트레스로 가정하여 그 영향요인을 알아보고자 하였다. 그 결과 첫째 발달장애아동 어머니들의 생활시간사용은 자녀양육을 포함한 가사노동시간이 많았으며, 생리적 시간과 사회문화적 시간은 적었다. 둘째, 발달장애아동 어머니들의 생활시간제약에 영향을 미치는 요인은 총소득, 어머니 직업, 주중의 생리적 시간, 주말의 생리적 시간과 사회문화적 시간이었다. 그러나 생활시간제약이 오히려 발달장애아동 어머니의 양육스트레스를 일으키는 요인이었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 얻은 결론은 발달장애아동을 양육하는 대체시간자원을 모색하여 양육 스트레스를 감소해주고, 발달장애아동 가족들을 위한 사회문화적 시간이 포함되는 가족지원 프로그램 개발의 필요성이 제기되었다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influences of factors to cause time restriction in daily schedules of mothers of children with development disabilities on the basis of the assumption such factors are family characteristics, child-rearing stress experienced by mothers of children with development disabilities and analyzed differences between their daily schedules during weekdays and weekends would be major factors. The investigation produced the following results. Firstly, most of hours in daily schedules of mothers of children with development disabilities were occupied by housework activities including child rearing, while relatively fewer hours were spent on physiological, social and cultural activities. Secondly, the factors to cause restrictions in daily schedules of mothers of children with development disabilities included the net income, mother's occupation, hours spent on physiological activities during weekdays and hours spent on physiological, social and cultural activities on weekends.
