Abstract

Was it Bismarck who was responsible for the catastrophes of the 20th century in Germany? Usually could not have the German a healthy distance from their hero Bismarck. They have often allowed their political and religious views to influence their portraits. Most German people were fascinated by the genius of such a “white revolutionary” and the assessment of Bismarck has shown that his personality is still surrounded by many myths. Hitler abused his name since his “struggle time” and his image was greatly influenced by that of Bismarck during the Nazi Society. The Cult of Bismarck helped prepare the ground for the triumph of Nazi-Party and gabe way Hitler before the seizure of power in the Year 1933. The German wanted to see in Hitler with his charismatic authority a “new Bismarck.” With the defeat of World War Ⅱ first, a return to the normal views to Bismarck, neither Hero nor mythical personality, can be noticed in the German people.
