털곰팡이증은 면역저하 및 위험인자를 가진 환자들에게는 치명적 인 곰팡이 감염증이다. Lichtheimia 속 곰팡이에 의한 털곰팡이증 은 흔하지 않은 기회감염으로, Mucorales의 배지에서의 생육 특성 과 현미경 형태가 유사하여 종 수준에서의 구분이 어렵다. 본 보고 에서는 내부전사간재(ITS) 및 리보좀 RNA 유전자의 D1/D2 도메인 부위의 염기서열 분석 결과 동정된 Lichtheimia ramosa에 의한 폐곰팡이증과 Lichtheimia hyalospora에 의한 귀곰팡이증을 제 시한다. 특히 L. hyalospora에 의한 귀곰팡이증은 처음 보고되는 사례이다. 또한, 한국인에게서 분리 동정된 Lichtheimia 속의 곰팡 이 감염 사례들을 문헌 고찰하여 함께 보고한다.
Abstract
Mucormycosis, a life-threatening invasive fungal infection, primarily affects immunocompromised patients or those with predisposing conditions. Mucormycosis caused by fungi of the genus Lichtheimia is an infrequent opportunistic infection. Phenotypic differentiation and identification of Mucorales are challenging because various Mucorales species exhibit similar morphology. In this report, we present two cases of confirmed mu- cormycosis through sequence analysis using the internal transcribed spacer and D1/D2 region of the large subunit ribosomal RNA gene. These cases involve pulmonary mucormycosis and otomycosis caused by Lichtheimia ramosa and Lichtheimia hyalospora , respectively. Notably, this is the first reported case of otomycosis caused by L. hyalospora . Additionally, we reviewed the literature on mucormycosis cases in Korean patients. Keywords
