군마(群馬)현 간라(甘樂)정 오바타(小幡)의 수로의 특성과 정원용수와의 관계에 대한 연구

일본 군마(群馬)현의 죠카마치(城下町)인 간라(甘樂)정의 오바타(小幡)마을에는 생활용수와 정원의 연못용수로 사용된 수로망이 잘 정비되어 있으며, 이 수로망은 지역의 역사적, 환경적으로 중요한 구성요소로 역할을 다하고 있다. 본연구는 이러한 오바타의 정원용수와 수로망과의 관계를 파악하는 것을 목적으로 현장사진자료와 현장조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 오바타의 수로는 다음과 같은 의미를 가지고 있다고 결론지을 수 있었다. 우선, 죠카마치(성안의 마을)에존재하는 사무라이의 주택들안에 존재하는 정원의 연못용수는 이 수로망으로부터 유입되고, 또한 같은 수로로 유출된다는 특징이 있다. 또한, 수로망은 사무라이의 주택 바로 앞에서 두 줄기로 분기되어 하나는 주택 안으로 들어오고, 다른하나는 그대로 도로를 따라 지나가도록 하여 저지대의 수로에의 영향을 최소화 하였다. 마지막으로, 수로가 분기되는형태는 최대한 신중하게 미지형을 활용하여, 물의 특성을 잘 활용한 용수계획이 이용되었다는 것이다. 결론적으로 수로의용수를 보전하기 위해서는 접촉되어 있는 수로망의 일체적인 보전이 필요하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
Abstract
The waterway network called Ogawa which was used as water for living and garden ponds has been well developed in the castle town of Obata, Gunma Prefecture, and has been an important component of local historic environment. This research is aimed to reveal the relationship between garden ponds and waterway network in Obata through the analysis of picture maps of the castle town and field investigation of the waterways and gardens. As a result, the value of the waterway can be explained as the followings; Ponds of the garden in the castle town gets water from water course running out of Samurai residences, and the water returns to the same water course. The water course diverges into two ways before Samurai residence, into the private land and a ditch along a road, lowering the risk of the channel network getting out of order. And water divisions are carefully designed making best use of the micro-topography, and generates characteristic water design. In conclusion, preservation of the entire water course network is essential for the preservation of the garden ponds.
