사회적 차별이 삶의 만족에 미치는 영향에 관한 탐색적 연구: 사회적 신뢰, 공정성, 포용성의 조절효과를 중심으로

초록

본 연구는 사회적 차별이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향과, 이들의 관계에서 사회적 신뢰, 공정성, 포용성의 영향(조절효과)을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 분석결과, 사회적 차별 유형에서 장애, 나이, 임신 또는 출산에 따른 차별, 직업이나 소득 등 경제적 지위에 의한 차별, 비정규직 등 고용형태에 따른 차별, 질병 및 병력에 의한 차별, 정치적인 성향에 따른 차별, 출신국가, 인종, 피부색, 출신민족에 따른 차별이 삶의 만족도에 부(-)의 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 공정성과 포용성은 일부 사회적 차별 유형과 상호작용함으로써 부정적인 영향을 완화하는 효과를 보였다. 이러한 내용을 토대로 본 연구는 삶의 만족도를 높이기 위한 정책적 방향으로 다음을 제시하였다. 첫째, 공공기관과 민간기업에서 정치적 중립성을 보장하여, 특정 정치적 성향에 따른 차별을 금지하고, 둘째, 장애인차별금지법을 강화하여 장애로 인한 차별을 철저히 금지 및 위반 시 강력한 제재를 부과한다. 셋째, 소득 재분배 정책을 강화하여 저소득층의 경제적 어려움을 해소하고, 넷째, 학교와 직장에서 다문화 교육을 강화하여 다양한 문화와 인종을 이해하고 존중하는 사회적 분위기를 조성하며, 다섯째, 중장년층을 위한 재교육과 재취업 지원 프로그램 확대 및 기업에 대한 고용 지원방안을 증대해야 한다.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of social discrimination on life satisfaction and to examine the influence of social trust, fairness, and inclusivity on this relationship. The results of the analysis indicate that social discriminations based on disability, age, economic status such as occupation or income, ideology or political orientation, health conditions, country of origin, race, skin color, and ethnicity were found to negatively impact life satisfaction. Additionally, fairness and inclusivity showed moderating effects on negative impacts by interacting with some types of social discrimination. Based on these findings, several policy directions are proposed. First, it is suggested that political neutrality be ensured in public institutions and private companies to prohibit discrimination based on specific political orientations. Second, the Disability Discrimination Act should be strengthened to thoroughly prohibit all forms of disability discrimination, with strong sanctions imposed for violations. Third, income redistribution policies should be enhanced to alleviate the economic difficulties of low-income households and improve their quality of life. Fourth, multicultural education should be reinforced in schools and workplaces to foster a social atmosphere that understands and respects diverse cultures and races. Finally, retraining and reemployment support programs for middle-aged and older people should be expanded.
