The purpose of this study is to examine some problems with the morpheme and allomorpheme of Korean. First of all, I discuss the relation between the morpheme and allomorpheme of Korean. And I make a suggestion that we need not regard the phonetic alternations as allomorphemes in order to distinguish the morphology and the phonology. Secondly, I examine the relationship between imperative endings ‘-ara/-eora’, ‘-geora’, and ‘-neora’. In the past, ‘-geora’ is recognized as a allomorpheme of ‘-ara/-eora’. But in current school grammar, ‘-geora’ is regarded as the ending of regular conjugation, and ‘-neora’ is recognized as an allomorpheme of ‘-geora’. I confirm that ‘-geora’ is one of allomorphemes of imperative ending. Thirdly, I investigate whether ‘eseo' can be analyzed into ‘e' and ‘seo' or not. I argue that ‘eseo' can be analyzed into ‘e' and ‘seo', because ‘seo’ is a morpheme that means “existence”. I reexamine a problem about ‘-deon'. There was a disagreement among scholars on the relationship between ‘-deo-' in the relative sentence and ‘-deo-' in the declarative sentence. In this paper, I argue that ‘-deo-' in the relative sentence is identical to ‘-deo-' in the declarative sentence, therefore ‘-deon' must be analyzed into ‘-deo-' and ‘-eun'.
