Abstract
In spite of a lot of researches regarding CSR, majority of articles address the institutional and organizational levels of analysis, and there is very little research adopting an individual approach. Moreover, few studies has focus on the effective mechanisms for explaining the relationship CSR and outcomes of CSR. In these respect, the effects of 4 dimensions of CSR on employees’ organizational commitment and turnover intention were studied. In particular, the roles of pride as a mediating variable between CSR and outcomes of CSR were examined, and the role of egoistic attribution as a moderating variable between 4 dimensions of CSR and employees’ pride was also examined. Questionnaires were developed and distributed to employees who are working in 10 firms. According to statistical analysis, the results showed that employees’ pride fully mediated the relationships between legal/ethical responsibilities and outcomes of CSR. However, the mediating role of pride between economic/philanthropic responsibilities and outcomes of CSR were not accepted. Consistent with hypothesis, the effects of CSR on employees’ pride were weaker when employees perceived the motives of CSR as egoistic one. Implications and directions for future research of this study were discussed in discussion and conclusion.
