Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of self-leadership and procedural justice on innovative behavior of organizational members. More importantly, this study examined the interaction effects of self-leadership and procedural justice on innovative behavior of organizational members. Based on prior studies and related theories, we developed competing hypotheses in predicting the interaction effects of self-leadership and procedural justice on innovative behavior. The results of this study are as follows. First, self-leadership of organizational members is positively related to innovative behaviors of organizational members. A member with higher level of self-leadership are more likely to behave innovative manners. Second, perceived procedural justice is also positively related to innovative behavior. A member with higher level of perceived procedural justice tend to behave in innovative ways. Finally, the effects of interaction between self-leadership and procedural justice has negative effects on innovative behaviors of organizational members. This result implies that individual’s self leadership and perceived procedural justice has supplementary effects in explaining organizational members’ innovative behavior.
