Abstract

Philosophy of Confucianism views the creation of all things as the outcome of the great virtue arising from the universe's absolute love. It explains the self development and self creation of uninterrupted life through alteration of creation. Confucianism examines live and death within the cosmical relationship, as the ability of heaven and earth, process of universal life, and assembling and dispersing function of Yin, Yang and qi. As one whole body of life all things should participate in the creation and incarnation of the universe, and as individual body of life each individual need to understand body and spirit through assembling and dispersing function of qi while reviewing one's existing state. Also Confucianism encourages men to participate in the creation activity of everlasting life with the mentality of absolute love that the universe creates all things with. Through this activity the meaning and purpose of life and sense of duty, that should be expressed in the existing form of virtuous life by the tending subject himself, is presented. Mankind as a product of the universe is already a manifestation of absolute love that the universe creates all things with. So the tending subject should experience the universe's virtue of living life which is “humanness (仁:ren)”, inherit the philosophy of living life which is the concept that all things originate from one body, resuscitate himself, and aim for the state of vast harmony which corresponds, fuses and harmonizes all things. The realization of humanness enables men to live a satisfied life within the harmony of himself, his neighbors and the universe, and fulfills the desire for love, relationship and forgiveness. Lastly, Confucianism explains the concept of eternality, relating that the universe where all body and spirit return is eternal and life that is passed on to descendents is infinite, which fulfills the tending subject's hope and desire for eternal life. Integrating the contents above, Confucianism satisfies the desire to find the solution to the ultimate issues of life such as the meaning of life or death. It also fulfills the desires regarding meaning and purpose of life, sense of duty, love and relationship, forgiveness, and hope for eternal life. In short, the philosophy of Confucianism holds the theoretical system for nurturing life of its tending subjects.
