The purpose of this paper is to propose measures for revitalizing healing tourism through therapeutic agriculture. This problem awareness stems, first, from the fact that healing serves as both a motivation and a purpose for tourism. Second, local governments are seeking to revitalize regional and rural tourism to overcome population decline in their areas. In this regard, therapeutic agriculture can become a healing tourism resource that integrates healing with local tourism. The research method of this study is literature research. The research procedure involved collecting and analyzing academic materials relevant to the study topic by entering the keywords ‘healing tourism’, ‘healing agriculture’, ‘healing agricultural tourism’, and ‘regional tourism’ into the academic BD platforms DBpia and KISS. To achieve this objective, this paper examined strategies for revitalizing healing tourism based on the concept, current status, effects, and potential of healing agriculture. The study proposed three strategies for revitalizing healing tourism based on healing agriculture: first, healing tourism linked with rural experience and recreation villages; second, healing tourism utilizing local food; and third, healing tourism linked with medical care, health, and public welfare. The findings of this study are considered an academic contribution to tourism studies by proposing strategies to activate healing tourism based on healing agriculture. Furthermore, by presenting healing tourism as a solution to overcome regional population decline, this research is expected to serve as foundational data for future policy and practical applications in healing tourism. This study has limitations that it is limited to literature studies, and this point will be supplemented through empirical research tasks for healing tourism participants and operators in the future.
