The idiom is an important part of Chinese vocabulary, it is a the fixed phrase with the characteristics of stable patterns, frequent uses, historic and racial traits. Color words are the special classification in the language vocabulary system, it is with human production and life are closely related. The purpose of this study is to mostly examines the outside form of Color idioms in Chinese and observe its characteristics in detail. There are four chapters in this essay. ChapterⅠ, General Introduction. This chapter introduce the object, the scope, the methods. ChapterⅡ is about “The Component on the Color Idioms with four syllables in Chinese”. It chiefly discusses a component of the Color Idioms with four syllables in Chinese, ‘Blue Color’, ‘White Color’, ‘Red Color’, ‘Black Color’, ‘Yellow Color’. ChapterⅢ is about “The Outside Form on the Color Idioms with four syllables in Chinese”. It chiefly discusses “When the morphemes with Color are used alone” and “When the morphemes with Color are used together”. ChapterⅣ, Conclusion. The results of the study were summarized in this chapter. Finally, a paper reference appendix is attached.
