In this study, we develop a prototype of a wearable IoT device with sleep management function, perform an evaluation on it, and propose a method for evaluating the usability of wearable IoT devices. This evaluation method was developed by considering software evaluation in the medical device usability process (IEC 62366). Since it was observed that the evaluation results using the developed evaluation index showed the same tendency as the evaluation results using the existing commonly used evaluation index, the developed evaluation index is likely to be used as an evaluation index for wearable IoT devices in the future. In the future, we will add various functions to the prototype, increase the number of subjects, and conduct research through additional verification.
