Research on the Integration and Development Path of Chinese Ancient Poetry and Contemporary Pop Music

Classical poetry and popular music are both important cultural and artistic forms in China. With the rapid development of the economy and society and the deepening popularization of traditional Chinese culture, Chinese ancient poetry and popular music are gradually merging, and new forms of music culture such as "Zhongguo Feng" and "Gu Feng" music have emerged in the development process. The fusion of ancient poetry and popular music is rooted in the historical origin of the integration of poetry and music, and is also based on many commonalities between the two. The fusion trajectory of ancient poetry and popular music presents clear stage characteristics, which have gone through the exploration period of "filling in music according to words", the development period of rewriting and adapting ancient poetry, the formation period of extensive use of ancient poetry imagery, and the explosive period of diverse fusion. After the outbreak period, the integration of the two gradually presented problems such as song homogenization, abuse and misuse of ancient poetry elements. Based on this, a systematic development path has been proposed from multiple aspects, including deepening creation, policy support, industry system, optimizing communication, and strengthening education. This is conducive to the further integration and development of ancient poetry and popular music, as well as promoting the cultural inheritance of ancient poetry and optimizing the ecological environment of popular music.
