This study is about the history on Chosun dance of Korean residents in Japan. North Korean traditional dance has transmitted to Japan due to change of the communist policy. North Korean dance system has swiftly transmitted from North Korea to Korean residents in Japan and it is known as the most successful case of oversea propagation. Even though, Korean Japanese has accepted the North Korean dance, their social specificity on emphasizing the study of nationalism has became their main interpretation of the dance. Their social specificity has passed on reflected throughout the years of development of the dance.
Abstract
This study is about the history on Chosun dance of Korean residents in Japan. North Korean traditional dance has transmitted to Japan due to change of the communist policy. North Korean dance system has swiftly transmitted from North Korea to Korean residents in Japan and it is known as the most successful case of oversea propagation. Even though, Korean Japanese has accepted the North Korean dance, their social specificity on emphasizing the study of nationalism has became their main interpretation of the dance.
