초록
The purpose of this study is to develop and analyze gait programs for the elderly and to provide basic data on gait movement for the elderly. This study was conducted among 7 olders of 65-85 years living in G-apt in Seoul. Each subject was tested for the angles of pelvis, hip joint, knee joint and feet. VICON took pictures the movements of sagittal, frontal and horizonta plane. Movement program took 12 weeks and was made up of low intensity exercises including gait exercise, chair exercises with mats and bands, and floor exercise. Analysis was made by maximum and minimum of averages, and comparison among the joint angles were done t-test. The results from the statistics are as follows: Comparison results of the pelvis angles between pre and post movement program were statistically notable showing decrease in up and down obliquity in pelvis (p=.05). Comparison results of the hip joint angles showed the decrease of flexion and was statistically notable(p=0.02). In knee joint, the angles of pre and post program decreased in extension and was statistically notable(p=.005). On other sites, there were differences in averages but not statistically notable. Therefore, further studies in movement program to strengthen lower extrimities by more systematic teaching and body mechanics not to overload and to force gait changes for the elderly are to be continued.
