초록
This paper explores how contemporary Korean dancer Eun-Me Ahn understands the idea of ‘anthropology’, how she uses anthropological methodology for her three works - Dancing Grandmothers (2010), Dancing Teen Teen (2011), and Dancing Middle-Aged Men (2012), and how the trilogy can be situated in contemporary Korean society. I argue that Ahn’s works strategically interweaves issues of anthropology, interdisciplinary art, and a trend of Western contemporary dance; and explores bodily memory, movement, and identity of Korean people, thereby expanding a boundary of contemporary dance.
