This study was conducted for the purpose of analyzing time-specific change in the aspect of Korean nature expression for the implementation of Korean style modern dance. It was after the 1980s when the interest in Korean style modern dance creation began. Modern dance that expresses the free spirit of human has advanced into dance expressing various styles according to dancers. Accordingly, modern dance has the characteristic of being expressed diversely according to one’s socio-cultural and ethnic backgrounds according to time, country and choreographer. Accordingly, this study aimed to establish a theoretical foundation for exploring the direction for the globalization of Korean style modern dance by analyzing the Korean nature revealed in the modern dance implemented in Korea.
