Abstract
The aim of this study was to assess soil quality (pH, electrical conductivity (EC), available phosphorus, and cation exchange capacity (CEC)), as well as arsenic (As) speciation and bioaccessibility in both cover and stabilized layers of agricultural lands reclaimed after mine remediation. Soil samples were collected from eight sites, and As content and bioaccessibility were analyzed using the Solubility/ Bioaccessibility Research Consortium (SBRC) method, along with sequential extraction for As speciation. The results showed that the average bioaccessibility of As in the stabilized layer was 17.1%, with most of it present in low-mobility fractions (F4 and F5). Soil quality parameters showed strong correlations with As bioaccessibility, including a positive relationship with available phosp horus. These findings provide foundational data for establishing future mine reclamation indicators.
