초록
This study is to investigate the impact of supplier’s network embeddedness for automotive parts on supplier’s performance. Research model was based on the network theory with network variables, such as relational embeddedness, structural embeddedness and structural hole. An empirical analysis was carried out through the investigation of the buyer-supplier networks for Korea auto part industry. Data gained by Korea Auto Industries Coop. Association (KAICA) was used to test the hypothesis of this research. Social Network Analysis (SNA) was used to calculate the structural hole and Pooled Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression analysis was performed to find the causal relationship. The results of this study show that relational and structural embeddedness both have a positive impact on supplier’s performance and that the impact of relationship embeddedness is moderated by relationship with innovative buyers. Structural holes are proposed to have positive influences on supplier performance. This research suggests theoretical backgrounds and empirical evidence to demonstrate that supplier’s network embeddedness can affect the supplier’s performance, and also suggests guideline to approach network research in operations management study.
