산업연관분석방법에 의한 해운항만서비스 가격변동의 물가파급효과 추정

본 연구에서는 해운 및 항만산업의 비용이 변동할 경우 물가에 미치는 영향을 산업연관분석기법에 의하여 분석하였다. 산업연관분석 기법은 특정 산업에서 발생한 변화의 타산업 파급효과를 분석함에 있어서 매우 편리한 분석도구가 된다. 분석결과를 보면 해운서비스 비용(운임)이 각각 10%, 30% 상승할 경우 물가파급효과는 0.27%, 0.81%가 된다. 그리고 항만비용이 각각 10%, 30% 상승할 경우 물가파급효과는 0.45%, 1.34%가 되는 것으로 추정되었다. 그러나 이러한 물가상승압력이 그대로 시장가격에 반영된다고 보기는 어려울 것이다. 기업은 물가상승요인이 생기면 수요자의 반발을 우려하여 내부효율화, 기술개발 등을 통하여 이를 자체적으로 흡수하려는 노력을 먼저 기울이기 때문이다.
Abstract
In this study, the price increase effect of shipping and port cost increase has been estimated by way of input-output analysis approach. Input-output analysis is an effective method of estimating induced effects of economic variation in an industry on national economy. The estimation result shows that overall price level is expected to increase by 0.27% and 0.81% in case shipping cost increases by 10% and 30% respectively. Whereas, price level increase effect will be 0.45% and 1.34% if port cost increases by 10% and 30% respectively. However, the price level increase effect will not be materialized in full because firms attempt to absolve the cost increase effect by way of internal rationalization, technology improvement and so on.
