한․중 유사 항만군 간 비교분석

중국의 서부대개발 추진에 따라 장강유역의 하천항만에 대한 중요도가 높아지고 국내 항만과의 신규노선 개설이 점차 이루어지고 있다. 신규노선 개설과 교역은 항만간의 규모, 교역패턴, 성장률 등을 고려해야 하는 바, 본 연구에서는 중국 장강유역 여러 항만의 성장과정과 패턴 변화를 보고 노선개설의 주요 대상인 국내 서해안 항만과 장강유역 항만을 대상으로 유사 항만별로 분류하였다. 먼저, 분석대상 항만을 한국의 광양항, 인천항, 평택ㆍ당진항, 울산항, 군산항, 목포항, 그리고 중국 장강유역의 난징항(南京港), 충칭항(重庆港)을 비롯한 17개 항만으로 정하였다. 다음으로 경쟁력 평가요인 중 사용빈도가 비교적 큰 항만 물동량, 항만시설과 관련되는 요인과 항만효율성 지표(물동량/처리능력, 물동량/100m당 부두길이)를 이용하여 세부 항만군으로 분류하여 분석하였다. 다차원 척도 분석법을 이용하여 평가자료가 실제 분석자료를 얼마나 잘 표현해 주는 가를 나타내는 기준치인 스트레스값을 제시해 줌으로써 분석의 결과에 대한 적합도를 파악하였다. 분석결과, 대상 국내 컨테이너 항만은 시설투자에 비해 보다 안정적인 모습으로 발전하고 있으나 장강유역의 항만은 급속한 성장에 비해 전반적으로 효율성이 떨어지는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This study aims to classify ports between west part of Korea and north-east part of China, especially concerning the changes of the ports in Changjiang river area. Based on the results of the study on classification, it also proposes policies and plans on future direction of container ports in Korea by comparing competitiveness between ports in Korea and counter-ports of China in trading. First, 17 ports were analyzed including Gwangyang port, Incheon port, Pyungtaek and Dangjin ports, Ulsan port, Gunsan port and Mokpo port in Korea and Nanjing port and Chongqing port in China. Second, several factors are selected to classify port groups; quantity of goods transported of relatively higher frequency of use, facilities in ports, port efficiency index (quantity of goods transported/process capacity and quantity of goods transported/length of wharf per 100m). Third, we used multidimensional scaling (MDS) as an analysis method, It shows the validity of the results by providing stress values, which shows how the estimated data can reflect the real data. From the results of the analysis, we conclude that the container ports in west Korea shows weak efficiency and competitiveness in general, compared to the rapidly developing ports in Changjiang river area although the Korean ports are still developing stably.
