서울시 ICT산업의 클러스터 형성과 그 발전과정

Abstract

With the advent of information revolution and knowledge-based industries, the awareness that the computer software is at the core of knowledge-based economy is becoming more widespread. The socio-economic impacts from these ICT industries are extremely vast and far-reaching, and have unlimited potentials. Recently, these ICT industries are clustering in some specific areas in Seoul, requiring extensive research on their development process. In this research, the development process of ICT firms through interactions with their environment is analyzed, based on evolutionary perspectives. According to the research, ICT clusters in Seoul grew in the 1990s owing to many factors, with significant contribution from the real estate development process surrounding Gangnam area.
