Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to identify the difference between novices and experts in a problem solving context in terms of cognitive strategies and affect. This study used both quantitative and qualitative (mixed method), exploratory study that focused three questions: (1) types of navigational strategies, (2) what attitude and feeling, (3) types of metacognitive strategies. The results of this study have created three major categories; Navigational strategies, Metacognitive strategies, Affect. Under the three major categories, approximately thirty subcategories came up, remarking how different novices and experts behavior in Web searching.
