지역사회 여성단체 활동의 사회적 자본에 관한 연구

Abstract

This study aims to analyse effects of social capital by focusing women's small group activities at local communities in Seoul. For this purpose, this study reviews previous theoretical studies and reports, and surveys members of women's groups.Findings of this study are as follows: First, members of women's groups are largely full time housewives of middle-class with a high educational background. Second, group activities affect to develop human capital of members through diverse learning methods and consistent activities. Third, members evaluate positive group activities regarding their family relationship, and wish to attend family meetings of groups. Forth, most members wish to stay in their residence longer and become to have more attentions about their local government and local elections by attending group activities. Fifth, most members wish to associate with outside civic organizations, and participate volunteer activities. Sixth, lifelong learning programs of government or public events like volunteer festivals play important roles not only formation of women's group but also acceleration of group activities.Community based women's group activities are in its birth stage in Seoul. This kind of group activities is public goods.
