본 연구는 신뢰로운 교수자의 교육역할 수행정도를 파악하기 위하여 대학교수의 교육역할 진단도구를 개발하여 타당도를 검증하고, 교수와 학생들 사이의 교수자 교육역할 수행에 대한 자기평가와 학습자 만족도 차이를 비교하였다. 본 연구에는 132명의 대학교수와 507명의 학부생이 참여하였으며, 통계방법으로는 탐색적·확인적 요인분석, 다변량분석 및 변량분석을 실시하였다. 연구의 결과는 첫째, 교수의 교육역할 진단도구를 검증하기 위하여 수행된 요인분석의 결과, 내용전문가, 교수설계자, 강연자, 조력자로 4개의 하위 역할들을 확인하였다. 둘째, 교수와 학생들 사이의 교수의 교육역할 수행에 대한 차이를 분석한 결과, 내용전문가 역할에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이점이 발견되었다. 즉, 교수가 내용전문가 역할에서 학생보다 더 높은 수행을 하고 있다고 자기평가하고 있는 것을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 학생관련 변인에 따른 교육역할 수행에 대한 만족도 결과에 따르면, 학년과 소속 단과대학에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이점이 발견되었다. 구체적으로 학년이 높은 학생일수록 교수설계자 역할에 더 만족하였고, 법과대학 소속의 대학생들이 다른 단과대학생들에 비해서 교육역할 수행정도에 낮은 만족도를 보이고 있다.
Abstract
This study verified the validity of diagnostic tool for professors' educational role, the purpose of which was to confirm the dimensions of educational role. The study also compared the differences on the professors' educational role between professors and students and analyzed satisfaction of the professors' educational role by students-related variables. Subjects participated in the study were 132 college professors and 507 college students. The results of the study are as follows:First, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis that conducted to validate the diagnostic tool for professors' educational role showed that four sub-roles were confirmed including contents expert, instructional designer, speaker, and facilitator. Second, as a result of analysis on performance of the professors' educational role, statistically significant difference on the satisfaction of the professors' educational role between professors and students was found in contents expert role. Professors had higher awareness on contents expert role than that of students. Third, as a result of analysis on the satisfaction of the professors' educational role among students -related variables, statistically significant difference on the satisfaction of the professors' educational role was found in grade and college they belong to. Higher grade students were more satisfied with the role of instructional designer than lower grade ones. Students who belong to the college of law were less satisfied with the performance of the professors' educational role than those of other colleges.
