고등학교 학생의 자기주도적 학습능력에 영향을 주는 교수매체 활용 관련 변인 탐색

초록

매체의 교육적 활용은 학습자의 자기주도적 학습능력 향상에 영향을 미치므로, 매체활용교육과 관련된 다양한 변인들을 찾고 이들이 학습자의 자기주도학습과 어떠한 관련이 있는지 조망해볼 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 매체활용과 관련된 변인들이 전문계/인문계 고등학교 학습자의 자기주도적 학습능력에 미치는 영향을 심층적으로 규명하고자 하였다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해, 매체활용교육과 관련된 변인 중 학습자 및 교사와 관련된 변인들을 포함시킨 후, 서울시에 소재한 전문계 고등학교와 일반계 고등학교 학습자와 교사로부터 수집한 자료를 2수준 다층모형을 통해 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과를 살펴보면, 첫째, 전문계 고등학교 학습자 변인 중 EBS 주당 시청시간, EBS 이용여부, 그리고 컴퓨터 활용 능력 변인이, 교사 변인 중 온라인 교수-학습지원체제 활용도와 컴퓨터와 인터넷 활용도 변인이 학습자의 자기주도적 학습능력에 모두 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 일반계 고등학교 학습자 변인 중 EBS 도움여부, 컴퓨터 활용 능력 변인과 학부모의 학교 홈페이지 이용 빈도 변인이 학습자의 자기주도적 학습능력에 모두 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 기반으로, 학생의 올바른 매체활용을 위한 교육프로그램 및 교사의 매체의 교육적 활용을 위한 커뮤니티 구축 및 교사의 효과적인 매체활용을 지원하는 방안 등이 모색되어야 한다는 결론 등이 도출되었다. 이밖에도 연구의 제한점 및 추후연구가 논의되었다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore variables of the use of media in education affecting the self-directed learning ability of vocational and academic high school students. For this purpose, the dataset collected from students and teachers of vocational and academic high school were used, and two-level (level-1: student, level-2: school(teacher)) hierarchical linear models was used for the data analysis. The results of this study indicated as followed: First, the results of this study for vocational school students indicated that ‘students' watching time of EBS program per week’, ‘students' perceived support of EBS program’, and ‘students' ability of using computer’ effects on students' self-directed learning ability. They also showed that there was a positive relationship between the teacher's ‘frequencies of instructional support system use’, and ‘frequencies of internet’ and students' self-directed learning ability. Second, the results of this study for academic school students indicated that ‘students' perceived support of EBS program’, ‘students' ability of using computer’, and ‘frequencies of parents’ visiting website of their child's school' effects on students' self-directed learning ability. They also indicated that at the level-2(school(teacher)), there were no significant relationships between all variables in the use of media in Education and students' self directed learning ability.
