도시 거주 결혼이주여성의 여가참여 영향요인 분석

초록

본 연구는 도시에 거주하는 결혼이주여성의 여가참여에 영향을 미치는 주요 변인을 밝혀 여가복지정책의 수립에 도움을 주고자 수행되었다. 예측변인은 북미지역의 소수민족에 대한 여가연구와 국내 결혼이주여성에 대한 선행연구를 토대로 문화적응(언어적응, 사회적 적응, 국내 거주기간), 사회경제적 특성(교육․소득수준), 그리고 기타 개인적 특성(연령, 남편과의 나이차, 자녀 수)으로 구성하였다. 연구를위한 자료는 2010년 6월부터 11월 사이에 중국, 몽골, 베트남, 필리핀 출신 여성을 대상으로 자기기입식설문지 조사를 통해 수집하였으며, 총 418부가 분석에 사용되었다. 조사 결과, 도시 거주 결혼이민여성은가정여가활동, 사교활동, 야외활동, 운동, 문화활동, 오락활동 순으로 여가에 참여하고, 이러한 활동에 크게 영향을 미치는 변인은 문화적응 중 사회적 적응과 언어적응, 그리고 사회경제적 특성 가운데 교육과소득수준인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 자녀 수 및 남편과의 나이차는 소수 여가활동에 제한된 영향을 미치며, 국내 거주기간과 이주여성의 연령은 영향력이 없는 것으로 파악되었다. 분석결과를 바탕으로 결혼이주여성의 적극적 여가참여를 위한 정책적 시사점과 향후 연구방향을 제시하였다.

Abstract

This study explored the relationships between acculturation(measured by language proficiency, social contacts with Koreans, and length of residence in Korea), socio-economic status(education and income), individual characteristics(age, age gap with husband, and number of children), and leisure participation among female marriage immigrants residing in urban area. Stepwise multiple regression analyses were conducted on data generated from 418 foreign Korean wives from China, Mongolia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Results showed that variations in leisure participation were largely due to different acculturation level and socio-economic status. Length of residence and age were not significant correlates of leisure-time activity. Practical implications and research recommendations are discussed.
