Abstract

This study is for basic data as a guidance which health education should be on the right track appropriate for the students' demand, by doing comparative analysis of health education which elementary school health education teachers think is essential and health education which elementary school students think is necessary. The results of the study are as follow;First, lower graders in elementary school need safety education and oral hygiene education. The lower the grade, the more required these are. Second, higher graders want visual power promotion education, scoliosis prevention education, cyber addiction prevention education. The higher the grade, the more required these are. Third, the fourth graders, middle in the elementary school grading system, need anti-bullying and school violence prevention education most. Fourth, health education teachers put sex education and sexual violence prevention education on top priority in learning, while students desire to learn about safety education in the first place. For second priority health teachers point out drug misuse and overuse prevention education, whereas students want visual power promotion education. Thus I can see the difference in order on each side to get concerning health education. In conclusion, I suggest that health education should be conducted taking students' demand in each grade into consideration. Health education teachers need to positively improve the priorities of health education based on the students' demand.
