본 연구의 목적은 GMO의 직접 이해당사자들이라고 할 수 있는 기업과 소비자에 한정하여 GMO에 대한 인식 및 입장을 살펴보고, 기업 및 소비자가 지녀야 할 바람직한 윤리 의식의 방향을 탐색하는 것이다. 연구의 문제의식은 오늘날 우리 사회에서는 GMO 농산물 및 식품이 찬반논란 가운데 있으며, 사회적 합의에 도달하지 못한 채 수입 및 가공판매되고 있다는 현실에서 출발하였다. 본 연구는 크게 4장으로 구성되어 있다. 우선 Ⅱ장에서는 GMO의 개념 및 국내 GMO 현황을 통해 GMO에 대한 일반적인 이해를 돕고자 한다. Ⅲ장에서는 GMO를 둘러싼 찬반 논쟁의 근거들을, Ⅳ장에서는 GMO관련 기업과 소비자의 구체적 입장을 살펴보고자 한다. 마지막으로 Ⅴ장에서는 GMO에 대한 기업소비자의 바람직한 윤리 방향은 어떠해야 하는지를 각각 분석함으로써 사회적 합의에 도달할 수 있는지의 여부를 진단해 보고자 한다.본 연구의 한계는 GMO 관련 주체들이 정부, 연구자, 농민, 기업, 소비자 등 다양함에도 불구하고 기업과 소비자만을 연구 대상으로 삼음으로써 다른 주체들의 입장을 분석하지 못한 점이다.
Abstract
This study attempt to propose the enterprises & consumers' ethical consciousness about GMO. Today, we are divided with the approval position and opposition position against the GMO. This study starts from problem which is GMO to import, it sells. This study is composed of four parts. In the first part, we have done two things. First, we tried to clarify the concept of GMO. After reviewing the a domestic GMO present condition. In addition, GMO has meanings: it means that to insert the gene of entirely different organism in organism inside of existing and with in order to have a completely new nature, it is one organism. The GMO is the terminology which calls genetically Modified Organism. Second, we did collect and represent examples the ground of the approval and opposition about the GMO. In the third part, We will research the concrete position of the enterprises and the consumers' against the GMO. The last, we will propose a desirable ethical direction of enterprises and consumers' about the GMO. The limit of this study is that we analyzed the enterprises and consumers' excepts different GMO subjects. In the future study, we will analyze the others objectives, government, scientist and farmer etc.
