유비쿼터스 시대 정보윤리학의 이슈에 관한 전망

정보윤리의 다양한 문제 상황들을 이해하고 분석하기 위한 학문적 논의의 경향을 원리중심의 접근과 이슈 중심의 접근으로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 본고에서는 이슈 중심 접근법의 발전된 형태로서, 정보윤리의 쟁점들이 발생하고 심화되는 공간적인 존재양태에 따라 현실 공간과 사이버 공간, 유비쿼터스 공간이라는 세 가지 차원으로 구분하는 새로운 방식을 제안하였다. 물리적 존재 속에 정보적 존재가 융합되어 지능형 객체들이 현실 공간을 구성하는 유비쿼터스 환경이 보편화된 사회에서는, 재화-권력-존재라는 정보 가치에 따른 다양한 문제들도 중요한 양상의 변화를 겪게 될 것이며, 무엇보다 인간의 자유의지와 객체들이 가진 사이비 자율성 간의 충돌이 심각한 문제로 떠오를 것임을 주장하였다.
Abstract
The tendencies of academic discussions in the field of Information Ethics can be divided by two categories; theoretical principle orientedone, practical issue oriented the other. For more appropriate version of issue oriented analysis, I suggest a new framework of conceptual division. It is based on the ontological spaces where information ethical issues arose, developed, settled. The three ways of classification are (1) real space issues, (2) cyber space issues, and (3) ubiquitous space issues. Most parts of issues treated by information ethical studies were gone into cyberspace by the rapid development of ICTs. In the new space of emerging ubiquitous computing network environment, most issues might come back from cyberspace to real world. Every single ‘intellectual objects’, that would construct the whole space as an environment including human, might have ‘pseudo-autonomy’. Some older issues - such like intellectual property problems, defamation problems, and informational self-decisiveness problems and so on – should be redefined according to the special traits of ubiquitous technology.
