Abstract
This study aims to propose the concept of the Korean Peninsula Life Community by expanding and restructuring the existing meanings and content as a fundamental idea for a new perception of inter-Korean relations. Based on this, the study suggests a discussion to establish a new perception of inter-Korean relations that moves away from a security-centered perspective. Rooted in the concept of comprehensive cooperative security, which links and combines traditional and non- traditional security, this study seeks to apply a redefined concept of the Korean Peninsula Life Community, previously focused mainly on environmental issues, to inter-Korean relations and unification issues from an ecological and peace ecology perspective. Although the study will provide a detailed explanation later, the redefined Korean Peninsula Life Community emphasizes equality, equity, and a symbiotic structure, does not exclude other communities, and pursues solidarity and cooperation for conflict resolution. Consequently, the Korean Peninsula Life Community can offer important direction for promoting solidarity and cooperation based on a shared understanding aimed at forming a sustainable survival structure on the Korean Peninsula, as well as in Northeast Asia and globally, while embracing various ethnicities, races, and groups.
