Abstract
Nihilist human being's image in Dostoevky's works Lee, Jong Jin This article shows Dostoevsk's viewpoint on nihilism. According to him nihilism is a human being's enemy which puts us into an unstable situation. For Dostoevsk nihilism is a sense of emptiness which we are now facing. Thus Dostoevsk thinks that nihilism ultimately brings us destruction and corruptions. He also points out that nihilism is physical and psychological illness of human being. In his works Dostoevsk explains why Russian culture and literature have to accept nihilism. It is strange enough that nihilism could not abandon the religion, nihilism denies the religion though. Since Dostoevsk is an expert on nihilism he could call nihilists as 'monks of irregion'. Dostoevsk considers nihilism as our inner enemy. Nihilism is a landmark of Dostoevsk's life and its influence comes to the end of hif life. And Dostoevsk sets his goal to overcome nihilism.
