Abstract
This article explores unintended consequences of internet politics. This article mainly focuses on two questions. One is whether the Internet can 'easily' produce and nurture new political parties. The other is whether the Internet ultimately will reduce the role of political parties because it enables civil society to connect the state without relying on 'traditional channels'. Findings from South Korean experiences imply that these are not likely to occur. It is because existing parties are ready to adapt some new issues that attract much attention on the internet. However, a rise of internet politics helps political parties to be more flexible and responsive to people's demand.
